Midwest Punjabi Association is an organization whose doors are open to embrace all aspects of a multi-cultural community without any kind of discrimination based on caste, race, religion, color and geographical borders. This organization is dedicated to enabling Indian- diaspora to work with determination working towards a common goal building a bright future for the community by attaining a respectable status.

Aims and Objective,

1. Promote Culture: Bringing to the attention of Diverse Media and other decision-making American institutions, the Indian characteristic of untrammeled love so that Indians may have their own identity and be safeguarded from becoming victims of mistaken-identity in the diaspora. Indians may attain pride and respect while contributing to the American system. Participation in August 15th and January 26th Indian community events.

2. Promote Political Representation: As the political consciousness about the American System takes root amongst the Indian-American community, it will become more aware of the political practices and make their presence felt in the political circles here. To promote political consciousness, Indian-Americans will be provided information about the politics. 

3. Promote Indian-American Participation: To establish a place for Indian culture in the many-layered American culture, contact organizations purveying American culture and promote Indian culture in the best possible way in their programs.

4. Promote alliance with diverse organizations: Bring together not-for-profit and for-profit Indian organizations to establish a strong presence in the in the Midwest so that the Indian-American may jointly address the problems being faced by them in the areas of business, employment and personal life instead of trying to individually tackle them.

5. Promote Indian languages and script: Language is the backbone of any culture and language and script has a relationship akin to that between flesh and bone. It is very important to promote Indian scripts along with the promotion of Indian culture. To address this need, establish an online school about Indian languages and scripts so that Indians and non-Indians may connect with Indian culture and Indian scripts even from afar. Establishing a scholarship fund for children, promoting Indian music and martial arts are some of the main tasks of the organization.

6. Promote Indian-American Heroes: To encourage the Indian-American youth by showcasing the achievements of community heroes. To promote these heroes and make people aware of their achievements by producing 30-60 minutes long videos as well as write articles in media highlighting their achievements and encouraging others to emulate them. MPA will also create volunteer opportunities for the youth to work on issuing affecting community and its welfare.

7. Promote Awareness about available opportunities by education the community: The American Establishment makes available all facilities to everyone without discrimination of any kind. But hard-working Indians, due to their lack of knowledge about them, often fail to attain full benefit of these available facilities. To make Indians aware of these available facilities is the primary task of our organization and we will provide all help in getting full benefit from these.these.

ਮਿਡਵੈਸਟ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਪੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਜਾਤ-ਪਾਤ, ਨਸਲ, ਧਰਮ, ਰੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਗੋਲਿਕ ਹੱਦ ਬੰੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਲਾਵੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੁੱਲੇ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਪਰਵਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਭ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਵਾਸ ਦੇ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਭਰਿਆ ਰੁਤਬਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੈ।

ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਤਵ

1. ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਅਤ :ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਬੇਪਨਾਹ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੁਨ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੋਂ ਦਬਣ ਸਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਵਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਹੋਂਦ ਦੇ ਭੁੱਲੇਖੇ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਣ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਾਣ, ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾ ਸਕਣ।

2. ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ: ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਦਾ ਜਾਗ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਇਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਵਰਤਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਚੇਤੰਨ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਹਲਕਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਨੂੰ ਜਤਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ। ਰਾਜਸੀ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਵਰਤਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

3. ਬਹੁ-ਪਰਤੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਬਣਾਉਂਣਾ: ਬਹੁ-ਪਰਤੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਬਣਾਉਂਣ ਲਈ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬਹੁ-ਪਰਤੀ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਬਤਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ।

4. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮੁਨਾਫ਼ਾ ਤੇ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਮੁਨਾਫ਼ਾ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ: ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਨਾਫ਼ਾਤੇ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਮੁਨਾਫ਼ਾ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਬੁਲੰਦ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਪਾਰ, ਨੌਕਰੀ ਤੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਕੱਲਿਆਂ-ਇਕੱਲਿਆਂ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸਮੂਹ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਨਜਿੱਠੀਏ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਬਣਕੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਮੁੱਠ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਗ ਲਾਉਂਣਾ।

5. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇ ਲਿੱਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ: ਬੋਲੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਰੀੜ੍ਹ ਦੀ ਹੱਡੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇ ਲਿੱਪੀ ਦਾ ਸਬੰਧ ਹੱਡੀ ਤੇ ਮਾਸਵਰ 1 ਗਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰਮੁੱਖੀ ਲਿਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਵੀ ਬੁਹਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇ ਲਿੱਪੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਨ-ਲਾਈਨ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਤੇ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇ ਲਿੱਪੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਸਕਣ। ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਜ਼ੀਫ਼ਾ (ਸ਼ਚ ਹੋਲ ੳਰਸਹਪਿ) ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਸ਼ਤਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ।

6. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਚਾਨਣ ਮੁਨਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨਾ: ਪਰਵਾਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਦੋ ਜਹਿਦ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਬਤਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਨਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਣ ਲਈ 30-60 ਮਿੰਟ ਦੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਵੀਡਿਓ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮੀਡੀਏ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਨਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ। ਦੋ-ਭਾਸ਼ਾਈ ਅਦਭੁੱਤ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਸਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਡ ਵੈਸਟ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਦੀ ਨੁਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਸੀ ਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ।

7. ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਾਉਂਣਾ: ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਢਾਚੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਸਾਰ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਕਸਰ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਹੋਂਣ ਸਦਕਾ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਠਾਸਕਦੇ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਣਾ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁੱੱਢਲਾ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਉਠਾਉਂਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਦਦ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
